Marfa In Little Pinky with Chloe and Ashley

Lifestyle Photography is more than just taking candid shots. It is about capturing images that reveal and tell a story. We started our shoot with Chloe and Ashley inside of the Little Pinky trailer at El Cosmico. El Cosmico is a hipster's paradise, so to speak- a boutique hotel made up of random tee-pees, tents, yurts, and vintage camper trailers.

Little Pinky is the coziest of the trailers that they offer, and also filled with the most spunk (according to what this little piggy says)

We started the morning playing cards- War, the simplest of card games, we have no idea who won. But! It was a blast.

Teepees and a Wagon Oh My! At El Cosmico in Marfa, Texas

We love traveling and seeing new places and capture them in photos. As we were heading out and tearing down shop for the day after our shoot at El Cosmico, in Marfa, Texas. But, when we got the wagons to grab our stuff, we couldn't resist and mess around with Chloe and Ashley- taking turns riding on the carts. Surfing the sand so to speak for a couple of shots. Impromptu lifestyle.

Mood and Ambience in Marfa in a Teepee with Chloe

Creating the mood is essential in lifestyle photography. We were lucky to be photographing in Marfa where you get ambiance in spades - everywhere you look there are amazingness to photograph.

Since we were all meeting up from far away places to get to Marfa, we had a few minutes to hang with Chloe, who was driving in from El Paso before Ashley arrived from Austin. We chatted and snapped a few shots in the teepee at El Cosmico.

El Cosmico and Marfa Awesomeness - Lifestyle Photography Session

Lifestyle Photography has been around for as long as there were cameras, but it went under a different name photojournalism. With a background in photojournalism and sports photography, working with models and capturing lifestyle photography has been a natural progression.

We LOVE Marfa, Texas! El Cosmico, you are my spirit animal. El Cosmico is located in Marfa, Texas. We stayed at El Cosmico when we were in Marfa and loved every moment of it. For those of you not in the know you can learn about Marfa here.

Tip- if you do visit Marfa, visit on the weekend because a lot of the food trucks are closed during the week ;)
